The alpaca fiber is naturally odour and dirt resistant so don't wash too often. Air it out instead, or simply give it a cold hand wash with a gentle detergent and dry flat.

It refers to the fibers on the softest part of an adult alpaca, which is usually the chest. It is lightweight and very breathable, but a lot warmer than sheep's wool.
